Billy lay awake, staring at the ceiling. "Damn it! I don't want to go...not now!" he muttered quietly. The moonlight picked out bright shapes that flickered like faces across his walls, accusing him of running out, abandoning....He was interrupted by an awareness of a very familiar presence.

Why do you resist the Path you accepted when you chose to be a Ninjetti? his wolfspirit questioned sharply. You knew then that much would be asked of you.

Billy sighed. Yes, true he had sensed the possibilities, but not that he might have to give up love. At that point, there hadn't been any to lose so it had not been a consideration. A few months ago, before meeting Skye, before sorting himself out he would have jumped at the chance to get off planet but now he had some very good reasons to stay. One VERY good reason in particular."Let me out of here!" Les growled, hammering at the inside of the containment field. "I was better off with the Crustaceans." "We'd better go," Cassie said, a hint of humor in her voice. "They could go on like this for a while, and we'll just be in their way."

"Always do what you do best," Zhane quipped, and Andros saw his double throw him a look of amused exasperation. "What? I take pride in my ability to interfere!"

"Out," Jay repeated firmly. "The faster we can get JT back, the easier it'll be to figure out what happened."

Ashley's double took Zhane by the arm and gave him a shove. "You've already interfered enough," she told him with a laugh. "Be happy that you've crashed the generator and left the whole building in the dark, all right? Let's go."

"Not really," Fred informed him. "See, we won't kill you when you've outlived your usefulness."
"And what usefulness is that? I don't think you need me to draw you monsters."
Art shook his head. "No, Lester, we need you to help stop one. You redesigned the Shadowborg. We need you to tell us what it can do."
"What?" Les laughed. "Really, Arthur, I'm crazy, not stupid."
Roland stepped forward, eyes cold and hard. "Maybe we didn't explain things to you. You will help us, or Jo and I will borg and break every bone in your body."
Jo cracked her knuckles. "I want my brother back, Les."
The cartoonist swallowed, seeing that the little girl was deadly serious. "What do you want to know?"
"For starters, how did Shadowborg get control of Drew?" Ryan asked. "We were under the impression that the Crustaceans' magical ability was limited to animating drawings and changing form."
