It had taken a few days for the others to come to term with the fact that Billy would be leaving and he had to reassure them he would be coming back with as much sincerity he could muster without really knowing himself. It was difficult. His mind drifted back to the brief exchange he had had with Skye after the revelation.

"How can I leave?" Billy asked plaintively "How can I leave....and they will be vulnerable to the Machine Empire. Everytime I have been absent over the past few months, I have come back to find them in desperate trouble." "Great," Les sneered. "If it's not ONE type of bug, it's another."
Yellow Turbo shot the cartoonist a look over her shoulder, brandishing her Auto Blaster. "One more comment out of you, and we'll take our chances stopping Shadowborg on our own. Get it?"
Les gulped. "Got it." The other Andros nodded, responding to the way his tone made it a question. "I've been helping him some. You think the second transfer overloaded the generators?"

"No... the power requirements were fixed. I think your Power signatures bridged the dimensions instead of anchoring you within the grid. When Zhane tried to transfer with both morphers in the target dimension, his digimorpher yanked him through but the backlash cut us off again."

"If that's true, then we shouldn't have lost power," Andros' double argued. "The keycomms would have to be recalibrated, but that's no reason for the generators to go down."

          "Good."
Still keeping their lasers trained on the Crustaceans, Yellow Turbo and Black Trooper backed up until they were standing close to the other three. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm afraid we have other business," Dragon Borg explained, throwing Horribelle a mock salute. Then they vanished in a hail of light.
"Nukus is NOT going to like this," Vilor remarked. "You let the cartoonist get away!"
Horribelle glared at him. "Oh, shut up."

Skye nodded. "That was before they bonded together, the team was pulling apart. Hopefully those ties will hold them together whilst we are away."

Billy turned away; attempting to concealing his real reasons. Skye touched the Star Crystal and unobtrusively picked up the emotions . It was because of Trini. He couldn't bear to leave Trini after discovering her love so recently, but he knew he had to go. It was tearing him apart. Skye nodded to himself.
