Dark Spectre halted in his appraisal of his forces latests exploits as a strange influence swept through him. A bloodfire warning which he seized and rejoiced in. No warning for him but a promise from the ancient past, a confirmation of his beliefs in the cycles of time bringing around again a triumph of darkness long past. All that he had worked for, all that he had achieved in welding together the alliance of Evil would now come to fruition."You're quite right, Larad," replied Chardin. "And it's quite obvious that the lady is quite capable of using the abilities of the Sword to their utmost. The Sword has accepted her, which more than proves her worth."
Jamie scanned the room. Trath looked halfway convinced, and Jalen, Chardin, and Larad were almost certainly swayed to her side. Sneris was still obviously skeptical, Walchis was oblivious, and Melchor was a lost cause. She sighed. "We'd bring it back before it was crushed," Justin retorted, taking his remark seriously. "But we have to be able to control the transit, and that's where Ranger powers come in. At least for now, we have to have an external link in both dimensions to serve as the anchor. That's where you guys come in."

"I thought you were using the Turbo Power," Andros said with a frown.

"Well, Andy and Lee aren't. They're the ones we want to send, or at least, their counterparts are. JT and Jay and I have to coordinate the transfer to make it work, so Andy and Lee volunteered to be test subjects. But it turns out the Astro Power is stronger in our dimension, so their counterparts offered to try coming here instead of the other way around."

"There is only one way to decide her worth," Trath declared. "The Competition, on the Day of Five Winds. If these Rangers prove themselves in the sight of the Goddess, then we shall give them whatever support they require. Agreed?"
One by one, the other men nodded, even Melchor, although he didn't look happy about it. Zarador sighed.
"Very well then. In four days time, on the Day of Five Winds, this question shall be settled."

"Yes!" he bellowed in exultation. "It returns. Our time truly has come again. Our efforts to prepare for the return of the One must redouble--that must be our task!" An unholy glimmer filled his lava red eyes as he beheld the darkling future that had just touched his mind with purpose.
